SCAM! First freelancer experience go wrong

Long time no see. How's your day? Terrible? yeah me too

So recently I decided to gain more opportunity get some dollar from side job. I already have current job. I want more money so I heard information about one freelancer job portal, Upwork.

Then I make account, also make my presentation project work nicely. Submitting my preference as bookkeeping assistant and data entry. After that, you got job recommendations from website. Of course, I applying some accountant job, but never got it. I wonder why. Is it because my price too high or I don't have enough bid. What's bid anyway?

Desperate enough then I applying random job so I set my preference as data entry at beginning right. So I got 2 message, finally. 

First, telling me to reach him out from email, then he will give me some job translate, etc. I ignore him because the email address he gave me is different from his profile. 

Second, he gave me nice greeting and direct recruitment procedure by telegram. Hmm, why must telegram ? I don't know. So I follow the instruction, told him that I'm from Upwork and ready for interview and others procedures. Guess what? No such a thing.

After that, he telling me to do some work. Just by write out the story from images to pdf in 48 hours. That is 2 days. 40 images then he will pay $50 per image. So its $2000 in total. Holy cow I become rich! 

So I very passionate to complete all the project. He's also very persuasive, telling me not be scared and trusty enough to pay me how many images that I finished. Then I used that 48 hours to completed all. During the process, I asked many question about paragraph and how I arranged this project to be nice. I have to admit he's fast responded, sometimes he doesn't got it my point and I just went flow with it.

Then I submit my work right, just in telegram chat. No email address as earlier he told me to send by email. After that, he replied he will checked my work. Quick story, in afternoon Indonesia time he told me I passed my project, he congratulating me. How come it is so fast? It's just 9 am France time. (His profile telling he's from France). 

Giving someone telegram account to follow the salary payment procedure. So I gave him my bank account. After some time he gave me this 

With following message to transfer $76 with photos of me holding my id card and gave him my id card number. Wait hold on, this suspicious. 

Crazy, there is no way I share my id even though our government already do that because our cyber security is weak and hacker sold it in dark web. Not to worry about id card, But also I do not agree to transfer $76 for someone with ugly photo profile (their profile just random images and ugly job description).

So I searching about those sorta info. Not surprising, everybody experiencing the same thing. Even lots of people from Quora got the same, its already 3 years ago and still relevant.

Well not blaming those maniac, I the one who fooled. Things to learn in future; 

• Always research for everything. 
• Ask so many detail information. 
• Do not leave from freelance working platform, in this case.
• Do not believe in someone who does not give you working contract or agreement. 

Lets hoping for better future from our bad experience, shall we!

Lastly, just wanna share 'the job' that I done.

So my purpose by writing this to telling all of you, stay away and no more victim. 

Thankyou for reading my story and I have around for so long and not uploading my blog anymore. But, here I am with one more experience to tell. I hope I get time to keep updating, not really sure. Haha
